The LORD is Close to the Brokenhearted

Psalm 34:18

"The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed."

Lord, please rescue me for my spirit feels crushed and my heart is broken.

Joy Restored...

Psalm 51:8,12

"Oh, give me back my joy again; you have broken me—now let me rejoice.

Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you. "

Lord,

As the Psalmist in this chapter, I am broken. I miss the little baby that you gave me. I ache to hold him and rock him and kiss his forehead again. I loved him so much. I don't want to go on to life as it was before. I pray that you please help me follow you, and please restore to me your joy.

Josh said tonight that he thinks Nehemiah lived as long as he did as a gift from you to comfort us. I thank you for that gift, and ask you now to comfort us and restore joy to us.

Hope...

Job 11:18

"Having hope will give you courage.  You will be protected and will rest in safety." (NLT)

Lord, give me an outpouring of your hope.  I fear losing my mind as I mourn the lose of the child you gave me. Please protect me and help me rest in safety as I seek you and try to go forward with life on this cruel earth.
